Audio quality of digital cameras

Here are sample videos of the Panasonic DMC-FX33 and the Canon IXUS 860 IS, also known as the SD 870 IS Digital (Canon’s naming scheme is really confusing).
The main purpose is to compare the audio quality. I was very disappointed by the FX33 to this regard. Even if far from perfect, the Canon is much better. It even has a sound recording function, ie. without video.

Too bad that online reviews and even magazines never say a word about the audio (and often neither video) quality of the cameras, since many, many people are using their digital camera as simple camcorders too nowadays. And too bad too that it’s so hard to find sample movies ! There is really no good source of information based on this criteria.

Sorry, I didn’t have any good source of loud noise, but it already gives you an idea.
